Changes to areas in US regulated for Japanese beetle

The U.S. Japanese Beetle Harmonization Plan was updated on March 4, 2016 to make changes to the list of regulated U.S. states. These changes have been made to Appendix 1 of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's directive D-96-15: Phytosanitary requirements to prevent the spread of Japanese beetle, Popillia japonica, in Canada and the United States, available at http://inspection.gc.ca/plants/plant-pests-invasive-species/directives/horticulture/d-96-15/appendix-1/eng/1346826626609/1346826990603 

 

The following changes have been made:

 

  • The following states have changed from partially to generally infested (Category 2 to Category 3): Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri.
  • The following states have changed from partially to generally infested but were already Category 3: Georgia, Maine, Michigan.
  • Colorado: Has changed from under active eradication to partially infested. The state now requires advanced notification of shipment.
  • Montana: The state now requires advanced notification of shipment.
  • The list of regulated counties in Table 2b has changed.

Veuillez prendre note que le U.S. Japanese Beetle Harmonization Plan (Plan d'harmonisation des États-Unis à l'égard du scarabée japonais) a été mis à jour le 4 mars 2016 afin de modifier la liste des États réglementés aux États-Unis.   • Les États suivants passent de partiellement à généralement infestés mais étaient déjà dans la catégorie 3 : Georgie, Maine, Michigan.
  • Colorado : Passe de sous éradication à partiellement infesté. L'État exige maintenant un préavis avant toute expédition.
  • Montana : L'État exige maintenant un préavis avant toute expédition.
  • La liste des comtés réglementés au tableau 2b a changé.
